Review: spell the words

1. Say a word from the review list (rewrite, helpful, teacher, preheat, careful and farmer); your child says its sounds and writes it.
2. Check each one together and fix any letter that is off.
3. Then your child writes one sentence using two of the words.

Take one out

1. Find a sentence in your report that doesn't belong, and cross it out.
2. To revise, your child adds one fact, takes out one sentence that doesn't belong, and makes the ending stronger.

1. Say 10 more, 10 less, 100 more and 100 less than five numbers.
2. Time it, and try to beat the time tomorrow.

Food groups

1. Sort a week of meals into fruits, vegetables, grains, protein and dairy.
2. Which group did you eat the most? Which the least?

Rules in a community

1. Talk about rules that help a community, like quiet hours or keeping dogs on a leash, and why they exist.
