Editorial policy

Plain words, real sources, and nothing for sale.

Peabody editors write every page. Facts about a state come from its law or education department; facts about another product come from that product's own page, opened on the date given; facts about Peabody's tools come from what the tools actually do. Peabody Homeschool is free, has no ads and no affiliate links, and asks for no sign-in.

Checked October 30, 2026.

Who writes the pages?

Peabody editors. A page says when it was checked, not who typed it, because the date is what tells you whether to trust it.

What counts as a source?

  • For the law: the statute or the state education department (see how we check state laws).
  • For another product: its own page, opened on the date shown beside it. If its page does not say a thing, we write "not stated".
  • For Peabody's tools: what the code does. A feature that is not built is not described.

How do the Top 10 lists rank things?

Each list states its rule in its first lines and ranks every item by it, Peabody's own tool included and named as ours. Where another tool does more, it ranks higher.

Do you make money from this?

No. There are no ads, no affiliate links, no sponsored posts and nothing to buy. No company pays to be listed or ranked.

What happens to what I type?

The Record Book, the planners and the calendar keep what you type in your own browser. It is not sent to us. See privacy.

What if something is wrong?
