Kindergarten homeschool plan, week 36
Review: the year's sounds and stories · Year review and math games · Looking back on my year
Week 36 of 36 in kindergarten, in quarter 4. Five days, about 70 minutes each.
Reading: a review week (the year's sounds and stories). Every sound so far, writing words by their sounds, and the sight words “went” and “who”. The new story is “Kip and the Crab”, and the reread is “Rain on the Hat”.
Math: Year review and math games. A week of games that use everything from the year.
History: Looking back on my year. Children look back at how they have grown and what they have learned, and make a book of their year.
Read-alouds: “Priya Moves Away”, “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”, “The Little Red Hen”, “Lion and Mouse” and “The Tortoise and the Hare”.
For the whole family: Each child picks their favorite thing from the year to show the family.
