Kindergarten homeschool plan, week 33
Silent e: o_e and u_e · Numbers to 20, in order · Taking care of Earth
Week 33 of 36 in kindergarten, in quarter 4. Five days, about 70 minutes each.
Reading: o_e and u_e, the silent e makes the o and the u say their names: hop becomes hope, cub becomes cube. Words to read and spell: home, bone, nose, rope, note, cube, cute and tube. Sight words: “so” and “out”. The new story is “The Red Hat”, and the reread is “Go, Snail, Go!”.
Math: Numbers to 20, in order. Writing numbers to 20, putting them in order, and finding missing numbers.
Science: Taking care of Earth. People change the land, water and air, and there are ways to use less, reuse and recycle.
Read-alouds: “A Bath for the Birds”, “The Otter's Rock”, “Under the Sea”, “Why Is the Sky Blue?” and “From the Sun to the Pedals”.
For the whole family: Sort a day's trash and recycling together and find one thing the family can reuse.
