Kindergarten homeschool plan, week 13
Review: eighteen letters and every short vowel · Comparing numbers to 10 · Animal homes
Week 13 of 36 in kindergarten, in quarter 2. Five days, about 70 minutes each.
Reading: a review week (eighteen letters and every short vowel). Every sound so far, writing words by their sounds, and the sight words “help” and “jump”. The new story is “Get Up, Gus!”, and the reread is “Rat's Hut”.
Math: Comparing numbers to 10. Comparing two written numbers to 10 and saying which is greater or less.
Science: Animal homes. Animals build and choose homes, and in doing it they change the places they live.
Read-alouds: “Who Lives Under the Log?”, “The Three Little Pigs”, “Look at Ants”, “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats” and “Pim and the Mitten”.
For the whole family: Look for animal homes on a walk: nests, holes, webs and hives, and draw the best one.
