Spell words with a_e

1. Say a word: gate, tape, cave and plane. Your child says each sound, then writes the word.
2. Check each one together and fix any letter that is off.
3. Read all eight a_e words as fast as you can, then once more.

1. 13 − 5: take 3 to get to 10, then 2 more to get to 8.
2. Show it on two ten frames, then do 15 − 7 and 12 − 4.

1. Pull up a weed (with permission) and find its roots, stem, leaves and maybe a flower.
2. Draw it and label the parts.
