Science15 min

Touching

  1. Put five things in a bag (a sock, a spoon, a leaf, a cotton ball, a key). Your child feels each one without looking and guesses.
  2. Use words: soft, hard, smooth, bumpy, cold.
Read-aloud15 min

Read-aloud: Goldilocks and the Three Bears

  1. Read “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” aloud. If your child asks to hear it again, say yes: hearing a story twice is how it sticks.
  2. This is an old tale, told for a long time. Afterward, ask: what did someone in the story learn?
