New York homeschool IHIP, filled from your records

An IHIP template for NYS homeschoolers: the required subjects are already on it, the quarterly dates are worked out, and it prints one page per child. Nothing you type leaves this computer.

What New York asks

In plain words, the individualized home instruction plan (IHIP) under 8 NYCRR 100.10(d) holds (8 NYCRR 100.10, Home instruction (New York Codes, Rules and Regulations)):

  • the child's name, age and grade;
  • a list of the syllabi, curriculum materials, textbooks or plan of instruction for each required subject;
  • the dates of the four quarterly reports, spread evenly through the school year;
  • the names of the people giving instruction;
  • and, if the child is a full-time student at a degree-granting institution, a statement saying so.

In the rules' own words

Checked . The regulation's text here is the state's official compilation on govt.westlaw.com, shown as current through October 31, 2021. Your district sends its own IHIP form with its reply; this sheet holds the same things, to copy onto it or attach. Information, not legal advice.
