Which letter?

To: County school superintendent. · When: Within 30 days of starting; tell them within 30 days if homeschooling ends. · Arizona's own notice, with the lines its law lists: the letter of intent maker.

What Arizona's law asks the notice to give: File an affidavit of intent with the county school superintendent within 30 days of the child starting homeschool. It states the child's name, date of birth, the address of the school, and the names, phone numbers and addresses of the people with custody. You do not file again unless homeschooling stops and starts again. If homeschooling ends, tell the county school superintendent within 30 days. Put each item in the details box, one a line.

  • Keep a copy, and send it a way you can prove: by hand with a dated receipt, by certified mail, or by email if the office accepts it.
  • Taking a child out of school mid-year? See the Arizona checklist for the order of steps.
