Awake at night

  1. Owls, bats, raccoons and moths are awake at night and sleep in the day.
  2. What might help an animal find food in the dark? Big eyes, good ears, a strong nose.

Read-aloud: The Letter for the Moon

  1. Read “The Letter for the Moon” aloud. If your child asks to hear it again, say yes: hearing a story twice is how it sticks.
  2. Afterward, ask: has anything like this happened to you? How was it the same, or different?
