A boat with a load

  1. Build a foil boat and add pennies one at a time.
  2. How many before it sinks? Can a wider boat hold more?
Read-aloud15 min

Read-aloud: The Crow and the Pitcher

  1. Read “The Crow and the Pitcher” aloud. Give the characters different voices; it helps a young listener follow who is talking.
  2. This is an old tale, told for a long time. Afterward, ask: what did someone in the story learn?
