Spell words with ck and ng

1. Say a word: ring, sing, long and hung. Your child says each sound, then writes the word.
2. Check each one together and fix any letter that is off.
3. Read all eight ck and ng words as fast as you can, then once more.

Adding on the ten frame

1. Show 5 + 4 with two colors on one ten frame. How many in all?
2. Do 3 + 6 and 7 + 2 the same way.

1. Long ago people walked, rode horses and sailed in boats with sails.
2. Ask a grandparent or an older neighbor how they got to school as a child.
