Spell words with l and r blends

1. Say a word: frog, crab, drum and trip. Your child says each sound, then writes the word.
2. Check each one together and fix any letter that is off.
3. Read all eight l and r blends words as fast as you can, then once more.

Make 10 first

1. 4 + 7 + 6: add 4 + 6 = 10 first, then 7 more is 17.
2. Do three more, finding the 10 each time.

Why shadows change

1. Shine a flashlight on a toy from high up, then from low down.
2. When is the shadow longest? Compare that with the sun in the morning and at noon.
