Ramp heights

  1. Roll a car down a ramp one book high, then two, then three.
  2. Measure how far it goes each time and make a chart.
Read-aloud15 min

Read-aloud: Coo Catches Gumdrop

  1. Read “Coo Catches Gumdrop” aloud. It is above what your child reads alone, on purpose: hearing longer stories builds words and understanding.
  2. Before reading, look at the title and the first page and ask: what do you think this story is about?
  3. On the read-along you can show the pages on a big screen, or let it read the words aloud while each one lights up.
