New Hampshire homeschool letters
The letters a family sends, addressed and ready to print. Nothing you type is saved or sent.
New Hampshire asks for no notice on the route described on its page: No declaration of home education is required, except to get access to public school programs under RSA 193:1-c or when withdrawing from a public school. You may still want the letter to the school your child is leaving, below.
Checked October 27, 2026. Information, not legal advice: New Hampshire's statute and education department are the final word.

Please send me a copy of the school records, including attendance, grades, any test results and, where there is one, the IEP or 504 plan.

Before you send it
- Read what to file in New Hampshire: the To and By lines there are the ones these letters use, each linked to the law.
- Keep a copy, and send it a way you can prove: by hand with a dated receipt, by certified mail, or by email if the office accepts it.
- Taking a child out of school mid-year? See the New Hampshire checklist for the order of steps.
