To: Delaware Department of Education (Nonpublic School system). · When: Register before withdrawing from public school; attendance by July 31 and enrollment by September 30 each year. · Delaware has its own form: Nonpublic school (homeschool) registration in the Department's online system. Send that; this letter can go with it as a cover note.
What Delaware's law asks the notice to give: To homeschool you open a nonpublic school with the Department of Education: get an EdAccess account, apply for a nonpublic school in the Department's online system, enroll your children, and print the Acknowledgement Letter (a public school will not withdraw your child without it). Each year after, you report attendance (the Department's window is June 1 to July 31) and enrollment (August 11 to September 30). State law: attendance by July 31 and enrollment by September 30. Put each item in the details box, one a line.
