What records do I need to keep to homeschool?
Asked by families. Answered by Peabody editors from the sources below.
It depends on the state: a portfolio in 13, attendance in 19 (some states ask both), and test or evaluation results wherever a test is required, of the 49 states on Peabody's state law pages. Each state's What-to-file box has a Keep row with its source and a link to the tool that makes the record.

This is a plain-words summary, not legal advice. Laws change: check your state's current law and its education department before you act.
