What is a homeschool portfolio evaluation?
Asked by families. Answered by Peabody editors from the sources below.
In a portfolio evaluation, a person your state accepts looks over your child's year of work, such as writing samples, math and a reading list. Peabody's state law pages list the states that ask for an evaluation or allow it instead of a test, with the statute for each. You can build the portfolio yourself with the free records tools.

This is a plain-words summary, not legal advice. Laws change: check your state's current law and its education department before you act.
