PE and movement at home
Daily active play, family sports and records that count it as PE.
The US Department of Health and Human Services publishes the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans, with daily activity targets for children and teens; its page links the full guidelines. Homeschool PE is mostly play outside: walks, bikes, swimming, sports and games. Keep a simple log of what you did so you can show it if your state or a transcript asks.

This is a plain-words summary, not legal advice. Laws change: check your state's current law and its education department before you act.
A way to start
- Plan active time every day, outdoors when you can.
- Pick one sport or activity to build skill in this term.
- Move together: a family walk counts.
- Log minutes in the hours record.
The free path
You don't have to be good at this to teach it
Active play counts. You need no coach, only time and a safe place.
Check your state
Some states list the subjects a homeschool must cover. See the law page for your state.
