Miacademy

By Miaplaza Inc.Checked October 29, 2026No affiliate links. Programs never pay to appear. How we label

Miacademy is an online curriculum for kindergarten to 8th grade, sold as one subscription per student that opens every K to 8 course: math, language arts, science, social studies, electives and world languages. Lessons combine short teaching videos, interactive practice, tests and printable activities, and the parent account sets the schedule and keeps a gradebook, attendance and progress reports. High school is a separate program, MiaPrep.

What it does well

  • One subscription opens every K to 8 course, so a child can work at a different level in each subject at no extra cost.
  • Each course has short teaching videos, interactive practice and tests, and the parent account adds a gradebook, attendance and progress reports.
  • If a child needs more time, the schedule spreads the remaining lessons over the period the parent set.
  • Annual and lifetime plans are refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of buying.

Watch for

  • Most of the learning is on screen; off-screen work comes as printable activities, reading, writing prompts and labs.
  • Each child needs a separate paid account, and family discounts are by request to the publisher.
  • The publisher says state-specific history lessons are not included.
  • A monthly plan renews until you cancel it, and a refund on it covers only the last paid month.

It fits

A family that wants the child to work through all subjects on screen at their own pace, with grading and attendance reports kept for them.

It doesn’t fit

A family that wants to keep screen time low, or that wants high school in the same subscription.

What we read, and how we label

Every fact on a card was read on the publisher's own website on the date shown, and the page it came from is linked. A fact we could not confirm there is left out. Costs are for one child and one year of the main package, as the publisher's page showed them that day; prices and sales change. Method and format are the publisher's own description where it gives one. The only thing we say about religion is one label, secular or faith-based, given by the rule above; where the publisher's pages don't settle it, the card has no label.
